Overview
Vizhinjam, a seaside hamlet 17 km from Trivandrum, features one of Kerala’s earliest rock-cut caves. This 8th-century temple houses the shrine of Vinandhara Dakshinamurthi and has unfinished sculptures of Lord Shiva and Parvathi. Managed by the Archaeological Survey of India, it’s a significant historical site near Kovalam Beach.
