Thevally Palace, situated on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake and about 25 km from Kollam, is a historic gem once home to the Maharaja of Travancore. Constructed between 1811 and 1819 under the rule of Gauri Parvathi Bai, the palace showcases an impressive fusion of Dutch, English, and Portuguese architectural styles. Surrounded by lush coconut groves and palm trees, it reflects the princely grandeur of its era and was used for meetings with British officials. The palace, currently managed by the Indian Army and Public Works Department, also features a temple dedicated to Lord Sastha.
