Overview

Located 4 km from Alappuzha town in Kerala, the Alappuzha Lighthouse, built in 1862, is over 150 years old and one of the oldest on India’s southwest coast. Constructed from laterite stones and teak, it originally used a coconut oil lamp, later upgraded to modern lighting systems over the years. The view from the top of the Alappuzha Lighthouse offers a spectacular 360-degree panorama of the surrounding landscape.

Entry fee

Entry fee is Rs. 20 for adults, Rs. 10 for children (6-12 years), and Rs. 50 for foreign tourists. There is an additional Rs. 10 fee for photography.
