Overview
Kundala Dam, located on the River Periyar amidst the Western Ghats, is a picturesque tourist spot. It features vast tea plantations, a serene lake, and a Tata Tea Ltd. golf course. Built in 1946 for the Pallivasal Hydro Electric Project, it’s Asia’s first Arch Dam, also known as Sethuparvathipuram Dam. From its top, visitors can enjoy stunning views of lush green valleys, tea gardens, and captivating waterfalls.
